Additional Specifications:
1. Battle-tested Xenoy composite frame designed to take impacts and stress that would destroy most frames.

2. The ergonomic frame and suspension design allows for loads of 120lbs without having to load the frame high thanks to our Load Leveraging Factor system, so you can walk in a normal upright stance fully-loaded.

3. Featuring 11 external pockets, the Bighorn Frame Combo lets you arrange your gear to carry everything needed for an extended trip into the backcountry. Extend your trip by adding the Pelican Pack for an additional 1,400 cubic inches of gear!

4. Our easily accessible hydration system allows for water bladders up to 3-liters.

5. At Wilderness Packs we design our packs to be functional and safe, so we incorporated a pull out orange safety flap with the Bighorn Combo for modern firearm hunters.

6. Our built in scope and tripod pockets tuck your gear away so you don't hand up while moving through thick cover. Capable of holding 20" long optics, these pockets are also a great place to store backcountry tent systems.

7. A dropout gun/bow carrier stays tucked away until needed. Our rifle carrier is designed to keep you action and scope protected under the hydration pocket, while still allowing gear to be lashed to the frame and pack.

8. The zippered waist pockets keep all your small items handy for easy access.

9. The new Gatekeeper Latch System makes attaching gear to you pack quick, easy and secure. Our system is designed to carry any 2" belt capable holster for your GPS, knife, rangefinder or handgun.

10. Pack bag quickly releases from frame to load meat and horns.

I've own the Compact Frame Combo for two years. I bought it to use on a summer long camping trip for a college field camp (geology). I've used it in New Mexico, Colorado, Alabama, Wisconsin, South Dakota, and Georgia. During field camp, New Mexico and Colorado, I used the pack to carry camping gear, tons of water, optics (tripod, spotter, 10s), rain gear, and geology field gear. The pack held up and was comfortable to boot. In addition to all my gear I strapped some of my less athletic classmates Jansports school backpacks to the outside of my pack during steep climbs. In Alabama, Georgia, and Wisconsin I've used he compact frame combo as an extremely comfortable day pack and makeshift deer/turkey blind (hiding behind it on the ground). Since I mainly hunt in the Eastern US I don't do anything more in the field besides gut deer. If I get a deer further from the road then is reasonable to drag I'm able to strap a gutted deer into the frame and just walk out. The pack is perfect for bivy style hunting and is made better by adding a yukon pelican pack. This pack is a no nonsense, low stress piece of equipment I don't worry about. I love the pack but if I had to do it over again I would opt for the Outfitter Frame Combo. I feel as if the Outfitter Frame Combo is more set up for an Eastern hunters going West and the Compact Frame Combo is for the Western hunter. One last thing is the customer service is fantastic! I called to get a brochure sent to my house before I bought the pack, then called on the phone to talk thru packs twice, and then called back again a year later to talk about the Yukon pelican pack. Every time I contacted them it was excellent customer service.
